Made By CUX (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is a Canadian digital design agency and the owner of this website: https://tap.madebycux.ca.
We provide Tap-to-Connect business cards and public profile pages.

2. What Personal Data We Collect and Why

We collect only the information voluntarily submitted to us during the setup or update of a Tap-to-Connect card or profile page. This includes:

  • Full name

  • Email address

  • Phone number

  • Business name and job title

  • Website URL

  • Social media links

  • Profile photo or logo

  • Custom biography or description

Why We Collect It:
We use this information to:

  • Create and host your Tap-to-Connect profile page

  • Print your NFC-enabled Tap-to-Connect card(s)

  • Respond to support or update requests

We do not collect or retain sensitive personal data (e.g., health information), and we do not use your data for analytics or marketing.

3. Comments

We do not enable public comments on Tap profile pages. Therefore, no comment data is collected.

4. Media

Clients may provide logos or profile photos to display on their Tap profile page. These are publicly visible, so please avoid submitting sensitive information in image metadata.

5. Contact Forms

We do not use contact forms on Tap profile pages. Update requests are handled by email and stored only for customer service and administrative purposes.

6. Cookies

We aim to minimize cookie usage on Tap profile pages. We do not use analytics, ad tracking, Meta Pixel, or Google Ads on these pages. Cookies may be used by SiteGround or WordPress for necessary technical purposes (e.g., session management).

7. Analytics

We do not use analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel on Tap profile pages.

8. Who We Share Your Data With

We do not share or sell your personal information with third parties.
Your data is stored on secure Canadian servers (via SiteGround), and only our team has access to manage your profile data.

9. How Long We Retain Your Data

We retain your profile data for the duration of your card’s use unless you request its deletion.
Email requests for updates or support may be stored for up to one year for audit and service tracking.

10. Your Rights Under PIPEDA

As a Canadian business, we comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
You may request to:

  • View the data we hold about you

  • Correct inaccurate information

  • Delete your personal information

11. Where Your Data Is Sent

All data is stored in Canada. We do not transfer personal data internationally.

12. How We Protect Your Data

We take data protection seriously and use:

  • SSL encryption (HTTPS)

  • Secure Canadian-hosted servers (SiteGround)

  • Role-based access for profile management

No data is processed using automated profiling or AI tools.

13. Data Breach Procedures

In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected users within 72 hours and report the breach in accordance with PIPEDA guidelines. Internal logging and response protocols are in place.

14. Automated Decision-Making

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling on Tap profiles.

15. Industry Regulatory Disclosures

Made By CUX is a registered Canadian business operating under applicable provincial and federal data protection laws. We do not currently fall under any industry-specific regulatory frameworks.

16. Policy Updates

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the service implies acceptance of the updated policy.
